APOLLO–YASASHI LITERACY INITIATIVE: CSR IMPACT REPORT The Apollo–Yasashi Literacy Initiative represents the first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnership undertaken by Yasashi Foundation in collaboration with Apollo Excelcare Hospitals, Guwahati. Designed to enhance educational access and strengthen school infrastructure, the initiative has created a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of 130 children studying at Yasashi Education Centre. The project commenced with the distribution of essential educational materials, including books, notebooks, school uniforms, school bags, and footwear, through phased programmes conducted on 7 April, 30 April, and 12 May 2026. These interventions reduced the financial burden on families and ensured that every child had the basic resources required for regular school attendance. The CSR support also addressed critical infrastructure needs. The renovation of school toilets significantly improved sanitation and hygiene, while the installation of a water filtration plant provided safe drinking water for students and staff, contributing to a healthier learning environment. To promote digital literacy and improve administrative efficiency, the initiative equipped the school with computer, laptop, and a printer, enabling technology-enabled teaching and learning. These resources have strengthened classroom instruction and expanded students’ exposure to digital education. The Apollo–Yasashi Literacy Initiative has laid a strong foundation for sustainable educational development.
