Tutumoni Boro is a diligent and enthusiastic child of Yasashi Education Centre. Always eager to learn and excel in her studies, this little girl had a dream of wearing a pretty dress someday. And Early Childhood Association offered to make her dream come true! This kind gesture by Early Childhood Association not only helped putting a smile on Tutumoni’s face but also lifted her spirit to do her best in her life. Early Childhood Association also donated Rs. 20,000 for various expenditure of Yasashi Foundation.

PRERANA – IAS Officers’ Wives Association: Bringing Joy and Opportunity to Yasashi Education Centre

PRERANA – IAS Officers’ Wives Association has been a valued supporter of Yasashi Foundation, consistently working to bring smiles and meaningful opportunities to the children of Yasashi Education Centre. One of the most memorable initiatives was organizing a fun-filled picnic to the Regional Science Centre, where the children enjoyed an exciting day of learning, exploration, and recreation. The outing gave them a chance to experience science through interactive exhibits while creating joyful memories with their friends.

Beyond organizing enriching experiences, PRERANA has also extended generous support towards the development of a playground at Yasashi Education Centre. Their contribution for earth filling and playground development will help create a safe, engaging, and child-friendly space where students can play, interact, and develop physically, socially, and emotionally. Understanding the importance of inclusion and celebration, PRERANA also invited the children to join their Diwali festivities, allowing them to experience the warmth and happiness of the festival in a caring community environment.

Yasashi Foundation is deeply grateful to the members of PRERANA for their continued encouragement, generosity, and commitment to the holistic development of underprivileged children. Their support reflects a shared vision of creating brighter childhoods through education, recreation, and opportunities that nurture confidence, happiness, and lifelong learning.

In 2021, Yasashi Foundation collaborated with VAANI, (Deaf Children’s Foundation ) , to organise a two-day ear screening camp at Yasashi Education Centre, led by Mrs. Ajita Gohain. Using EntraView, more than 70 children received professional ear and hearing assessments. VAANI experts provided guidance, raised awareness about the importance of regular ear screening, and recommended necessary follow-ups for children requiring further treatment. The initiative promoted preventive healthcare and early detection of hearing-related concerns among children. For Yasashi Foundation, the camp was a significant achievement, reflecting its commitment to the holistic health, well-being, and development of underprivileged children.

Disaster Management Mock Drill at Yasashi Education Centre

On 13 October 2023, a disaster management awareness session and mock drill was conducted at Yasashi Education Centre by GeoHazards International.

The session introduced students to basic disaster preparedness and safety measures, helping them understand how to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies. Through practical demonstrations and mock drill activities, the children learned important skills related to evacuation, safety procedures, and disaster response.

The programme was an important step towards creating awareness about disaster preparedness and building confidence among students to handle unforeseen situations. Yasashi Foundation sincerely thanks GeoHazards International for conducting this valuable and informative session for the children.
