Dr. Utpal Kataky joined Yasashi Foundation in July 2021 and has been actively supporting the Foundation's community health initiatives ever since. He has played a key role in strengthening healthcare services for the families associated with Yasashi Foundation.
In 2021, he took the initiative of conducting Health Camp, which has since been organised twice every year. Through these camps, Dr. Kataky provides medical consultations, health check-ups and guidance to the families of Yasashi students, promoting preventive healthcare and overall well-being. During the health camps, Dr. Utpal Kataky plays a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of the children at Yasashi Education Centre. He counsels parents on the importance of vaccination, immunization, regular deworming, balanced nutrition, and essential dietary supplements for healthy growth. He also distributes free nutritional supplements and deworming medicines to children and guides parents in identifying and addressing nutritional deficiencies.Dr. Kataky has taken a proactive role by personally following up on the medical conditions of several students. With the support of volunteers, he is facilitating hospital visits and ensuring that these children receive appropriate medical evaluation, treatment, and continued care.
Apart from regular health camps, Dr. Kataky has also participated in Yasashi Foundation's flood relief programmes. He was part of the relief mission in Tamulpur district during the 2022 floods and again in Darrang district during the 2024 floods, where he provided medical assistance and healthcare support to affected communities.
Beyond healthcare, Dr. Kataky has continuously supported the Foundation's educational and social initiatives. On Children's Day 2024, he took the initiative to donate food for the students, making the celebration more joyful and meaningful. He has also encouraged students by presenting prizes and recognising their achievements, motivating them to perform well in their studies and extracurricular activities
In addition, Dr. Kataky actively participated as a resource person and supporter in Yasashi Foundation's Volunteering Certification Programmes held in 2022 and 2026, where he inspired volunteers through his guidance and encouraged them to contribute meaningfully to community service.
His continued dedication and voluntary service have made a significant contribution to Yasashi Foundation's mission of improving the health and well-being of vulnerable communities.
