Yasashi Foundation was founded on a simple yet powerful belief: every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive, regardless of their circumstances.

Across communities, countless children continue to face barriers to quality education. Recognising this need, Yasashi Foundation was established to bridge these gaps through accessible, inclusive, and compassionate educational initiatives.

Registered as a Section 8 Company under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN: U80301AS2021NPL021036), Yasashi Foundation has steadily grown into a community-driven organisation dedicated to transforming lives through learning.

The word "Yasashi" embodies kindness and gentleness — values that lie at the heart of everything we do.

Manobi Deka

Founder Director

An educator with more than two decades of experience, Manobi Deka has dedicated her life to nurturing young minds. Alongside leading Yasashi Foundation, she has been associated with the successful establishment and operation of the Sparsh Group of Schools since 2007. Her vision stems from the belief that education has the power to transform not only individual lives but entire communities.

Alpana Goswami

Director

Committed to strengthening organisational systems and advancing the Foundation's mission through strategic guidance and sustainable growth.

Lotika Basumatary

Headmistress

With a passion for child-centred learning, she plays a pivotal role in creating nurturing environments where children explore, learn, and thrive.

Renowned Assamese social actor and a steadfast supporter of Yasashi Foundation since 2020. His encouragement during the Diya Campaign, personal visits to the Education Centre, and participation in flood-relief initiatives have deeply inspired the community.

Recognition & Milestones

Yasashi Foundation was honoured with the Best Community Give Back Initiative Award at The Great Indian Learning Festival held on 24 December in Varanasi, organised by ScooNews.

The recognition acknowledged the Foundation's sustained efforts to support education and well-being of underprivileged children, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
