Manobi Deka is a visionary educationist, entrepreneur, TEDx Speaker and social-impact leader with more than two decades of experience in the field of education. A teacher by choice and a social entrepreneur by conviction, she has dedicated her professional journey to the philosophy of "Man Making and Nation Building," with a strong focus on values, inclusion, innovation and accessibility in education.
She is the Founder and Proprietor of Sparsh Group of Schools, established in 2007. Beginning with just five students, Sparsh has evolved into a growing educational institution with multiple branches and franchise presence across Assam and the Northeast. Through Sparsh, Manobi has championed experiential, child-centred and innovative approaches to education, integrating Montessori principles with contemporary pedagogical practices.
Manobi Deka is also the Founder Director of Yasashi Foundation, a Section 8 social-impact organisation committed to the education and holistic upliftment of underprivileged children. Through the Yasashi Education Centre, she provides free non-formal education to children from disadvantaged communities, including school dropouts, first-generation learners and children with learning gaps. Her social-impact initiatives extend across literacy, inclusion, community development, disaster relief and educational accessibility.
As the Territory Head of the Early Childhood Association of India (North East), Manobi actively contributes to professional development, early childhood education and educational advocacy. She is also an Executive Member of the North East Women Entrepreneurs Association (NEWEA), supporting the growth and visibility of women-led entrepreneurship in the region.
Academic Qualifications
Her academic qualifications include M.A. in English, M.A. in Education, B.Ed., Diploma in Mass Communication, Post Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education.
A committed advocate for inclusive education and teacher development, Manobi has conducted workshops and professional-development programmes on inclusive classrooms and child-centred educational practices at various education platforms. She works closely with educators and special educators to strengthen awareness, capacity and effective practices for children with diverse learning needs.
Learning Without Borders
Her commitment to continuous professional learning has also taken her across international educational platforms. In January 2020, she undertook educational exposure visits to Germany and Italy to study pedagogical practices. She participated in the International Education Summit at the Parliament of Oslo, Norway, in August 2025, and the World Forum for Early Years in Kuala Lumpur in April 2026, further broadening her understanding of global perspectives in education and early childhood development.

Manobi Deka's commitment to social impact is deeply rooted in her own journey. Coming from a humble childhood, she experienced firsthand how philanthropic individuals and organisations supported her education and helped shape her future. She believes that this support carries a responsibility to give back to society. Through Yasashi Foundation, she aspires to handhold deserving children from disadvantaged communities and expand its work into a senior secondary school, ensuring uninterrupted education and enabling them to excel and contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.
