Yashvi Daga

Yashvi Daga joined the Yasashi Foundation in 2022 as a volunteer, contributing to the Foundation's initiatives focused on education, community welfare, health awareness, and child development. Since joining, she has actively participated in programmes aimed at empowering children and families through awareness, education, and meaningful community engagement. During her volunteer journey, she conducted a menstrual hygiene awareness workshop for pre-pubertal girls and their mothers, creating a safe and informative space to discuss menstrual health, hygiene practices, and the importance of breaking social stigma surrounding the topic. She also facilitated a Good Touch-Bad Touch awareness session for kindergarten students, helping children understand the concepts of personal safety, body autonomy, and trusted adults in an age-appropriate and interactive manner. Further contributing to community welfare, she co-organised a flea market and winter clothing collection drive for the children and families associated with the Yasashi Education Center by mobilising donations of pre-owned winter clothing. The initiative promoted community participation while ensuring that essential winter wear reached families in need. As part of her commitment to educational development, Yashvi curated a General Knowledge book for Grade II students at the Yasashi Education Center, developing age appropriate learning material to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and foundational knowledge beyond the classroom curriculum. More recently, she contributed to a field survey conducted by Yasashi Foundation to understand the socio-economic profiles, challenges, and needs of underprivileged families. The findings supported the Foundation in identifying community requirements and planning more targeted educational and welfare initiatives. Through her work in health awareness, child safety education, educational resource development, community outreach, and field research, Yashvi has consistently demonstrated empathy, leadership, and a strong commitment to creating meaningful social impact through service.
