Avighnaa Deka

Since joining Yasashi Foundation in 2021, Avighnaa Deka has been actively involved in a wide range of initiatives focused on education, leadership, and community development. She contributed to the Foundation's Diya Campaign by handcrafting and selling diyas to raise funds in support of its educational and healthcare initiatives. She served as the Director General of Yasashi MUN, leading the planning and successful execution of the Model United Nations conference. Avighnaa also authored two educational books for the Foundation—*Mental Health* for students of Classes 3–5 and an *Environmental Studies (EVS)* textbook for Class 4—making quality learning resources more accessible to young learners. In addition, she has conducted educational classes and interactive activities for children at the Yasashi Education Centre, fostering both academic and personal development. She also led an awareness programme on the importance of education and mental health for women, encouraging dialogue and promoting awareness within the community. Through her continued dedication and service, she has made a meaningful contribution to Yasashi Foundation's mission of empowering communities through education and social welfare.
